This 2014, the Casal Català de Washington DC organized two events to celebrate the National Day of Catalonia —aka ‘la Diada’— in Washington DC.
On September 11th, the journalist and writer Xavier Vilà Carrera explained his thoughts on what is going on in Catalonia in his Lecture ‘The Domain of Spain – How Likely Is Catalan Independence?’. Also, on Saturday, September 13th, the Casal organized the traditional Family BBQ in one of the Rock Creek Park Zone where children and adults enjoyed the day.
